CORAfrica and SUNY Cobleskill Meet to Discuss Exchange Programs:

Cobleskill, NY -- December 11, 2006 -- Connections were made at a meeting with SUNY Cobleskill to organize a possible winter session course or exchange program for SUNY and African students. The program would entail SUNY students completing research projects in Africa, and African students coming to SUNY Cobleskill to learn more about agricultural practices.

At the Cobleskill meeting, we also discussed the need to build connections between local universities and communities in Nigeria. CORAfrica has identified the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) as a good counterpart in this collaborative effort. We are hoping to make a connection between the University and the community, linking research to practical application, especially in agriculture, in Nigeria.

Children of Rural Africa (CORAfrica) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for rural children in Africa.
