Maria DiFrancesco

Secretary of the Board

  Maria DiFrancesco has been an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Modern Languages and Literatures Department at Ithaca College since 2003. She graduated with a B.A. in English and Spanish from Canisius College and holds a Ph.D.from the University at Buffalo, where she specialized in 20th Century Spanish Narrative. She is the author of a book entitled Feminine Agency and Transgression in Post-Franco Spain, and she is currently editing a second volume on approaches to teaching about race, culture, immigration and ethnicity in Spanish literature, film and other popular media. She is the faculty advisor of IC SafeWater and proudly serves on the Immaculate Conception Parish Council in Ithaca.
