SUNY Cobleskill Professor Awarded College Funds to Visit Nigeria

Cobleskill, NY -- February 1, 2007 – In a recently released statement, SUNY Cobleskill Director of International Programs Susan Jagendorf, Ph.D., announced the collaboration of a SUNY professor with CORAfrica:

“[SUNY Cobleskill professor] Dr. George Crosby, whose work in Uganda should produce similar successes in Nigeria, has been awarded $3,000 in college funds for a trip to Nigeria this summer. He should be able to meet with local farmers in the Cross River region to help develop methods of irrigation and crop cultivation that are appropriate to the needs of the population and the resources of the region.

We are very excited about the prospects for development in all areas of the CORAfrica project and look forward to working on the details for this summer and the coming months.”
